NL: Local alcohol marketing regulations on the rise

Dienstag 16. Juni 2009 von htm

The Dutch city of Rotterdam wants to ban alcohol advertisements in its nightlife zones. In doing so the municipality hopes to decrease the alcohol use of minors and reduce vandalism on nights out. The city’s college of mayor and aldermen is exploring the legal possibilities to tighten the regulations on such advertisements. This plan is announced in the city’s ‘Plan of alcohol approach 2009-2010’, which also states that on nights of evening entertainment the number of incidents increase six fold, compared to regular days.
