BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — During the month of January, detectives with the Kern County Sheriff’s Office Rural Crime Investigation Unit and investigators with the State of California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control, working under a GAP Grant funded by the State of California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control, conducted alcohol enforcement operations resulting in the arrest of 7 individuals.

AMSTERDAM — Three people were arrested following a sting where minors were sent out to attempt to buy alcohol, police said. For more than two decades, the codified method to regulate which businesses could sell alcohol in Jefferson Parish had lain dormant. That changed in March, and the newly constituted Alcohol Beverage Permit Review Committee has kicked its operations into high gear.
