- Countries
should not ask commitments from developing countries regarding alcohol.
- Countries should exclude alcohol when making commitments. (e.g. Canada and Sweden do it, Poland excluded alcohol and advertising) - Existing commitments on alcohol should be revised. (Switzerland has only excluded alcohol advertising) - The procedure of negociations should be revised. So far it is secret policy and very undemocratic, as the strong lobby groups can influence the process without any control from the people. - The ministry of health of each country should intervene at its ministry of trade in this matter. - Time is running out. The negociations of this round end this year |
