Denver’s annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade last Saturday was very good, bringing a lot of families downtown to enjoy a cultural display and good family and community fun. I am a first-generation American and very proud of my Irish roots and their contribution to the educational and medical foundations in the USA….
I am very disappointed that open containers are allowed in the parade. Parades are family events. They should not be used for encouraging drinking and rowdy behavior, especially by the participants in the parade. Forensic Laboratories, a Denver-based laboratory specializing in toxicology services for drug and alcohol abuse, has announced the expansion of its oral fluid testing capabilities. The company is the first lab in the nation to develop an analytical test capable of detecting Ethyl Sulfate (EtS) in saliva, a chemical produced by the body after alcohol exposure. Wegen eines randalierenden Passagiers hat ein US-Flugzeug auf einem Inlandflug eine ungeplante Zwischenlandung einlegen müssen. Der Mann habe versucht, eine Außentür zu öffnen, so ein Sprecher des Flughafens von Denver. Dorthin war die Maschine der United Airlines nach dem Zwischenfall umgeleitet worden. Nach der Landung wurde der Mann festgenommen. Er hatte vor und während des Fluges Alkohol getrunken.
